KARACHI: A meeting of the Judicial Policy Committee underway at Karachi Registry on Saturday with Chief Justice of Pakistan Iftikhar Mohammed Chaudhry in chair.

The chief justices and Registrars of highcourts and Federal Sharia Court were also attending the meeting that was discussing pending cases in the high courts and other issues related to the judicial policy.

The meeting will also review the matter of the salaries of the Supreme Court and high court employees and other matters.

Chief Justice Iftikhar Mohammed Chaudhry addressing the meeting called for improvement in the performance of judiciary so as to provide justice to common man.

CJP said that the court declared the NRO unconstitutional while the parliament has also rejected the law introduced by the dictator.
